Kleinmond, a small coastal town situated in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, is a big tourist attraction due to its popularity and whale watching areas.
The name Kleinmond was originally derived from the Afrikaans word “small mouth” which fits this area perfectly seeing that it’s located at the mouth of the Bot River lagoon. With the choice of Lagoon and the close Blue flag Beach, it makes for a perfect destination in the Summer months.
During the colder months, amoungst the waves, the whales breach creating magical moments for those who embrace it. For those looking for another scence of serenity, pop into one of the many coffee shops along the route to full embrace the warm welcome Kleinmond has to offer.
